Green Milling
Logs at the sawmill are cut into manageable lengths and then
proceed through a twin edger. At this stage the sawyer, a craftsman
with years of experience, will determine the breakdown of the
log that will become flooring or structural timber.
The timber then proceeds through
the saw bench and is cut to size. The timber is then graded
and the green milling process of sawing logs into planks is
complete.
