Red Mahogany Flooring

Impressive deep red and burgundy hues with exceptional hardness. Ideal for domestic and commercial purposes. The impressive tone Red Mahogany offers gives a sense of warmth to any home along with a touch of old world class.

A large tree from the Australian east coast that grows from Sydney to Northern Queensland. Red Mahogany is prized as a very dense timber with fine grain and stunning deep red colouring. It has become a prestigious timber species due to its density and rare colouring.

The wood is generally medium textured with even grain. At times the grain can interlock producing an attractive figure.  Compared to more popular timber of similar colouring e.g. Blue Gum (Janka 9.0) and Jarrah (Janka 9.0), Red Mahogany is a much harder and durable timber with a Janka Rating of 12.0.
